How does it work?

It works by first asigning one of the letter grades with a default interval. For example: a B letter grade associates itself with the grade interval of 80% to 89.9%. Then, it takes the differance of the high and low ends of the curved interval and divides it by 10. This value becomes the the amount of "curved" points into the curved letter grade interval that translates for 1% in the real percent grade interval. Then, it simply divides the amount of curved points you are deep into the interval (from the lower end) by the points per percent value to get the number of percent into the real grade interval. Finally, it just adds that value to the lower end of the real grade interval and outputs that percent.
